What's Good is a gamified platform to help city-goers plan their weekends and find up-to-date and curated events in St. Petersburg, FL

Competitor Analysis Brief:

  • Leading competitors (Yelp, Trip Advisor, US News) lack a hand in local curation and timed events

  • Leading Search Results (Blog) lacks a strong user experience

  • Most users don't have a dedicated 'weekend planning platform' but are looking for one on google

The "Card" as we call it is one of the main features & has also been the most modified element. We wanted the card to almost resemble a dating app and have the same appeal to that age audience; people in their 20s-30s.

Here's how we landed with the last iteration...

- Color: the color of the card reflects the category, this is most significant when you are viewing all of the cards

- Button Placement: I wanted the buttons to be in familiar places where people are used to interacting which is why we put save in the bottom right since we want that to be one of the most used buttons & will require a user to log in / signup to use it. Next to it, is "I've Been Here" which encourages getting user-generated feedback on the events that allow for the local curation of the app.

- Known for: We reintroduced the "known for" element from the 2nd iteration for the last iteration to quickly and simply give people more context for the event. We went with emojis as they are familiar to users.
